What’s happening?
The government has introduced a Localism Act to give residents more of a say in the development of their own area. A key part of this Act is the creation of Neighbourhood Planning that is undertaken by the local community. Once finalised a Neighbourhood Plan will have a legal status and will be used to influence future plans and developments in the area. A number of local residents have set up a Neighbourhood Planning Forum to look at how they can improve the area for all of us in the future. Everyone who lives, works or uses the area within the boundary can contribute to this. You can join in to discuss your ideas and help put this plan together.
What ‘s the next step?
Please complete this questionnaire and tell us what issues are important to you in the future planning and development of our neighbourhood.
How will my information be used?
Your views and the findings from this questionnaire will be used to produce a community vision and a list of objectives which the Neighbourhood Planning Group can look to include in planning policy. When the final plan is produced, approval will be sought by holding a formal referendum organised by the Borough Council.
Please complete this questionnaire, it should not take more than 15 minutes. The questionnaire is anonymous and your answers will be treated in strict confidence. Only the total results for the areas will be made public. All data will be held securely and in accordance with the Data Protection Act.
We would like as many of you as possible to complete and return this as it will be your voice and opinions which will shape the final plan. Just complete as many questions as you can.
Thank you!
